• Welcome to Sutton Veny W.I Lite

WI Lite is a new twist on the WI, attracting younger women and offering contemporary activities and events,   We aim to take the best bits of the traditional WI and give them a very modern makeover.

Recently, the WI has seen the launch of several new “Lite” groups across the UK, with membership about as far removed from the stereotypical perception of the WI as possible.



Sutton Veny WI Lite meets at 8pm on the 1st Wednesday of each month, at the Sutton Veny Village Hall, Sutton Veny, Warminster Wiltshire BA12 7AP. You can just turn up or email info@suttonvenywilite.co.uk if you want to know more. There is a WI annual membership fee of £29.50 . Alternatively, non members can attend for £4 donation on three separate occasions before deciding to join. BYO: Remember girls, teas and coffees will be served, and you can bring your own bottle of wine if you fancy.

Apr 6th: Our 2nd Birthday

its our 2nd Birthday and as in previous years we are marking the occasion by raising a glass or two.
A wine consultant from Wine Divine will be hosting an fun and informative wine tasting event including a quiz and blind tasting competition.
There will be prizes and you will also be able to buy your favourite wines on the night to again at home.

RESOLUTIONS 2011

Two Resolutions will be taken to the 2011 AGM in Liverpool this summer:

1."This meeting abhors the practice of factory farming particularly large animals such as pigs and cows and urges HM Govt to ensure planning permission is not granted for such projects"

2." This meeting urges HM Govt to maintain support for local libraries, as an essential local educational and information resource"

You'll be sous cheffing, Chef Jude will cook with seasonal fruit and veg and then we'll eat! Learn where Riverford's produce comes from, how the Box scheme works and how it can be tailored to individual needs.

Sep 7th: Frances Garood

Frances first submitted her first manuscript for the Richard and Judy 'How to get Published' competition. The competition attracted 46,000 entries, and she was lucky enough to be a runner-up. Macmillan said they'd like to publish the novel and she has since gone from strength to strength. Maybe you'll discover your inner writer!?
